25 hours later and I finally made it home to Seattle around 11pm last night. My Iberia flight from Madrid to Chicago was late, which made me miss my connection to Seattle. Thankfully they rebooked me to a later flight, but what’s 5 more hours when you’ve been traveling that long, right? Made it home at the time I left my house in Madrid yesterday, weird. And now I’m up at 5am after only going to bed at midnight…this is going to be one rough week. So excited to finally be home for the holidays with my friends and family. Feeling blessed
I really struggled with what to write for this last post from Madrid. Those that have studied abroad can relate to how difficult it is to describe how a semester abroad changed your life. I’ve learned a lot this semester. I think most importantly, I have learned how empowering breaking down boundaries can be. This experience has given me a new perspective on what I can achieve in life and one thing I know for certain is that I will never stop discovering.
It’s a bittersweet day, but I am so excited to be flying back to my friends and family in the States tomorrow!!
Thank you for reading my blog this semester, I’ve really enjoyed writing it. I’ll post when I arrive home safely and maybe even in a few days about my much dreaded reverse culture shock.

One week until I’m back in the States and one month until I’m back in San Diego living the dream!
Spend Less. Give More. Love.
